- In the fables the characters are almost always animals or objects representing men's qualities or faults. What do, in these fables, the fox, the lion and the ass represent? What do the wind and the sun stand for?
- As you have seen the fables are simple and direct(immediate) stories,
the situation depicted develops quickly. The tale gets to its conclusion
very soon because the moral matters not the story in itself.
