Phaedrus writes The hateful crow alighted
on the back of a sheep and with her beak she tormented and hit him for
long. - “If you had been so rude to a dog” -
the sheep sighed - “you would pay dearly for them!”-
“This is the reason why I don't go to him, but come to you”
- the crow replied. “I bully the weak and flatter the strong:
thus, I will live a good old age”
The crow of this fable represents, from one side the arrogant
behaviour towards the weakest and from the other side, the obsequiousness
towards strong.
